The Yellow Submarine took the lead with a corner delivered from the left flank. The fierce delivery sent the ball hovering within the box after ricocheting off Aurélien Tchouaméni. The Frenchman failed to clear the ball, allowing Foyth to unleash a gentle left-footed shot that Courtois was unable to react to.
Foyth hasn’t scored a goal since August 27, 2023. After nearly two years, he found the back of the net once more for Villarreal, demonstrating his fearlessness in the face of Spain’s formidable adversaries. His prior strike was against Barcelona, and now he has found the net against Real Madrid.
