On the 1st May, Kyoko Gunji, 34, of Nippon Television, made a live appearance on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon Television daytime wide-format show “Miyaneya” (Monday through Friday, 1:55 pm). She made her marriage public on Instagram the same day, but she also made the announcement in person.

After announcing the news, Kyoko Gunji reported her marriage. Miyane Seiji asked her, “Mr. Gunji, you’re getting married, aren’t you?” Gunji replied with a smile, “I did.” Miyane congratulated her, saying, “Oh, you’re getting married already? Congratulations!” Gunji replied, “Thank you! I announced it to everyone on social media around noon today. It’s fine! I’m sorry that you didn’t take the time to make time for me.”

Gunji confessed that her partner is “someone who works for a regular company.” She also mentioned her father’s reaction, which is often discussed on the show, and concluded with a smile, “My father looked like he was about to cry, but he didn’t. Sorry, it’s a personal matter.”

Gunji was born in June 1990 and graduated from Keio University. In 2013, he joined Nippon Television. He is in charge of “Information Live Miyaneya” and the news corner of “Sukkiri”. In September 2010, he launched “Audire”, the first women’s fashion brand in Japan born from the voice of an announcer.

On May 1, he wrote on his Instagram, “This is a personal matter, but I got married. The other day, we had a small wedding ceremony surrounded by close friends. I was hesitant to announce it on social media, but I decided to tell you in my own words, with gratitude for everyone who supports me on a daily basis.”
