The “Queen of Halloween” has once again outdone herself.
Supermodel and TV host Heidi Klum made a show-stopping, nearly unrecognisable appearance at her 24th annual celebrity Halloween bash, unveiling her 2025 costume: a terrifying, full-body transformation into the Greek mythological creature Medusa.
The look, which Klum had previously teased as being “very ugly” and “super scary”, features an elaborate, head-to-toe reptilian suit complete with green scales, razor-sharp fangs, and a crown of animated, moving snakes in place of her hair.
The Mythological Transformation
Klum, 52, arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel New York fully embodying the monstrous Gorgon known for turning men to stone with a single glance.
Her eyes were lined in yellow, her skin coated in green and gold prosthetics, and her final touch was a long, scaly snake tail that completed the mythical creature.
The hyper-realistic transformation was the product of months of planning, involving her long-time collaborator, prosthetic makeup designer Mike Marino.
Klum often begins brainstorming her next costume immediately after the previous year’s party, a process that has solidified her status as the gold standard for celebrity Halloween looks.
A Husband Turned to Stone
Adding to the spectacle, Klum’s husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, complemented the mythological theme by dressing as a Greek soldier turned entirely to stone.
His costume featured full-body gray and cracked makeup with an armor-like texture, perfectly representing a lifeless statue mid-battle—a clever nod to Medusa’s legendary petrifying gaze.
The couple posed together on the red carpet, a stark visual contrast that quickly went viral, with Klum posting to Instagram: “HAPPY HEIDIWEEN 🐍Don’t stare too long or you’ll turn to stone 🖤 #HeidiHalloween.”
The Medusa reveal follows a history of famously elaborate costumes, including her 2024 E.T. look with Kaulitz, the 2023 Peacock ensemble that required 15 performers to form the tail, and her instantly iconic 2022 Giant Worm outfit.
