France: Fresh pasta recalled due to suspected listeria

2 min read

A number of fresh pasta items under the Daminiani brand that are offered for sale in French supermarkets are being recalled. The cause: the possibility of contracting listeria, a potentially harmful bacteria.

If you recently purchased Daminiani fresh pasta, beware. Five products sold at Leclerc, Carrefour, Intermarché, and Super U are being recalled across France this Friday, May 9, as reported by RMC. They are suspected of containing the Listeria bacteria, which causes listeriosis, a serious illness in some cases with an incubation period of up to eight weeks.

First reference: fresh organic egg tagliatelle, 300 grams, from the Daminiani brand, marketed between April 25 and May 7, 2025 (GTIN 3760060590022, lot 25115).

Four types of filled pasta are also in question: ricotta and spinach suns, 300 grams (GTIN 3760060588616, lot 25118); beef and porcini ravioli, 300 grams (GTIN 3760060588579, lot 25115); beef, raw ham and parmesan ravioli, 250 grams (GTIN 3760060588630, lot 25118), and ricotta, spinach and parmesan girelles, 500 grams (GTIN 3760060564993, lot 25115, and GTIN 3760060564993, lot 25118).

The Rappel Conso website advises that you “do not consume, use, or destroy the product” but return it to the store where you will receive a full refund. If you experience symptoms of fever “isolated or accompanied by headaches and body aches” following the consumption of these products, you are advised to consult a doctor and report the consumption.
