A major traffic collision on the Pyhrn Autobahn (A9) at the Lebring exit (Leibnitz region) has killed one person. According to the Styrian State Police Directorate, the 50-year-old Czech motorist died from his serious injuries on Saturday evening.

According to reports, the guy was travelling on the A9 road from Spielfeld to Graz at 6:35 a.m. with his 47-year-old wife and 18-year-old daughter. For unclear circumstances, the automobile exited the road at the Lebring exit and most likely went into the crash barrier there at full speed without slowing.

The force of the crash harmed all three car occupants. The Red Cross took the mother to Graz University Hospital, and her daughter was admitted to Graz Children’s Hospital. Both had injuries of unclear severity.

The A9 freeway in the Graz direction was briefly halted for rescue and cleanup activities. The cause of the automobile exiting the road is still being investigated.
