Judith Rakers, a former Tagesschau news presenter, is ending her “Little Farm” show “with a very heavy heart”. At the same time, she discloses who will succeed her.
Judith Rakers has bid farewell to her previous house and presented her successor via Instagram. The presenter wrote: “Little House on the Prairie has been handed over… to the most wonderful successors I can imagine.”
Rakers then reveals with a red heart emoji that it is her fellow presenter Lisa Kestel who is moving in with her family and “lots and lots of animals”: “Some with fluff and some with feathers… and they will all find their new paradise on the little farm… Goodbye, little farm,” the 50-year-old concludes.
Rakers also released a video of the key transfer. The former “Tagesschau” news anchor stands on the balcony and says, “The time has come,” putting the keys up to the camera: “I’m handing over the little farm.” Then she glances down and says, “Are you ready?” before throwing the set of keys down. Kestel, 40, can be seen bouncing with excitement in her new house. “She’s in good hands with you,” Rakers tells her, adding to her 434,000 followers: “I’m still sad, though.”
The former news woman had already relocated all of her animals from her “farm” outside Hamburg to Rügen. Rakers frequently posts peeks of her job as a home farmer on Instagram.
