With 29 goals in the Saudi Professional League season, Mexican striker Julián Quiñones became the leading scorer.

Julián Quiñones’ thunderous right-footed strike pushed the ball into the net, seemingly stopping time. With that shot, the Mexican forward not only sealed Al-Qadisiya’s 3-1 triumph over Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous Al-Nassr, but also established his spot among the international football elite, establishing himself as the world’s second most deadly goalscorer.

With 29 goals in the current Saudi Professional League season, the former Club América star, who is also poised to compete in his second World Cup with the Mexican National Team, took over as top scorer, acquiring a two-goal lead over his nearest competitor.

Quiñones, who started in the lineup, had his effect on the game evident from the beginning, continuously disturbing the opposing defence. They resorted to every strategy to stop him and keep their goal from being breached. Unfortunately for the visitors, Mohammed Aboulshamat opened the score in the 24th minute.

With the score against them, the Portuguese team went on the attack and equalised thanks to an offensive combination completed by Joao Felix in the 39th minute; however, the tie was short-lived, as Al-Qadisiya regained the lead shortly after, with Musab Al-Juwayr scoring in the 55th minute, just before the game’s conclusion.

In the last stretch, the game became a relentless back-and-forth, posing danger on both sides. Julián Quiñones took advantage of the open areas and beat Bento Matheus in the 78th minute after many rebounds.

The goal not only clinched the match, but it also unleashed Cristiano Ronaldo’s wrath, as he saw the Mexican expand his lead to four goals in the scoring table and became clearly irritated with his teammates.
