Max Müller Reduces Shooting Days for of Die Rosenheim-Cops for his mother

At Max Müller’s request, the following season of “Die Rosenheim-Cops” will have fewer filming days. The decisive aspect is his current family circumstances.

“Since I don’t know what the future holds for my 87-year-old mother, Mathilde, I’m now filming almost a third less than before,” Max Müller stated to the “Abendzeitung München ” about his choice to curtail his production schedule. His character, “Michi Mohr”, will, however, continue in the series.

Max Müller’s experience with “The Rosenheim Cops” began in May 2002 with a phone call and an invitation to an audition, initially meant for Joseph Hannesschläger’s partner.

However, due in part to his accent, he was not cast in the planned detective role. Instead, he was given the job of a somewhat inept cop. Since then, he has played Michi Mohr, now a chief inspector.

Max Müller on his mother: “She needs me more now”

The actor’s mother currently resides in a nursing facility outside Vienna. Max Müller, who dislikes “all the ‘political correctness'” on set, believes it is especially vital to spend more time with her at this point in his life since she “needs him more now”, as he told the “AZ”.

At the same time, he emphasised that he mostly helps his mother through physical contact, holding her “more in my arms.”Müller outlines how verbal communication is getting slower and less frequent: “We are more silent,” he adds. At the same time, he emphasises that he mostly helps his mother through physical contact, holding her “more in my arms”.

The production of “Rosenheim-Cops” responds to current cast developments and relies on adaptable solutions in everyday filming.

Max Müller continues to portray “Michi Mohr” in the series, although with less filming hours, he appears less frequently on screen.

To make his visits as inconspicuous as feasible for the audience, inserted phone calls and appropriate scene solutions will be used. Müller notes, “The viewer hardly notices it, as phone calls are shown repeatedly.”

Marisa Burger has announced her resignation from “The Rosenheim Cops” as well. She rationalised her choice by claiming, among other things, that she “did not want to make Miriam Stockl look ridiculous”.
