The National Football League (NFL), Apple Music, and Roc Nation officially announced on Sunday night that global superstar Bad Bunny will headline the highly-anticipated Super Bowl LX Halftime Show.
The performance will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
A Historic Moment for Latin Music
The Puerto Rican artist, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will bring his unique blend of Latin trap and reggaeton to the world’s biggest stage, an event that routinely draws over 100 million viewers. This selection marks a major cultural moment and highlights the increasing global dominance of Latin music.
The announcement was made during halftime of the Sunday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers, following weeks of feverish speculation among fans and the media.
In a statement, Bad Bunny emphasized the cultural significance of the performance:
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL (Go tell your grandmother, we are the Super Bowl Halftime Show).”
A Career-Defining Run
Bad Bunny’s selection comes amid one of the most successful periods of his career:
- Global Domination: The three-time Grammy winner and reigning Latin Grammy frontrunner has been one of the world’s most-streamed artists for years, with albums like Un Verano Sin Ti becoming global phenomena.
- Record-Breaking Residency: He recently concluded a historic and sold-out 30-date concert residency in San Juan, Puerto Rico, further solidifying his connection to his roots.
- Star-Studded Potential: Produced by Roc Nation, the halftime show is known for surprise guest appearances. Fans are already speculating which of Bad Bunny’s high-profile collaborators, from Cardi B and Drake to J Balvin, might join him on stage.
This will be Bad Bunny’s second time at a Super Bowl halftime show, having previously made a surprise joint appearance with J Balvin during Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s electrifying set in 2020. This time, however, the spotlight belongs solely to the artist known as El Conejo Malo.
The Super Bowl LX Halftime Show is co-executive produced by Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins. The game will be broadcast on NBC.
