This afternoon, March 31, a tragic incident occurred on the streets of Messina, resulting in the death of a young woman named Sara Campanella.

The 21-year-old hailed from Palermo and was fatally stabbed in Viale Gazzi, right outside the entrance to the ‘G. Celeste’ stadium.

Initial reports indicate that a young man stabbed the girl in the neck before making his escape. The blow severed her jugular, leaving her with no chance of survival; she succumbed shortly after reaching the Policlinico.
