The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has reported that 39-year-old Kenneth Bailey, also known as Young Scooter, was transported to the hospital following an incident in the 200 block of William Nye Drive SE.

Rapper Young Scooter passed away on Friday night. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has reported that 39-year-old Kenneth Bailey was transported to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away following an incident in the 200 block of William Nye Drive SE in Atlanta.

Bailey is recognised by his stage name, Young Scooter. Various other media sources also covered the news of his passing on Friday night.

As reported by APD Lt Andrew Smith, officers were dispatched to address a dispute involving a weapon on Friday. He stated that early reports suggested gunfire had occurred and that a woman was pulled back into the premises.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they proceeded to knock on the door. A man opened the door and promptly closed it on the officers,” he remarked.

The authorities subsequently established a perimeter at the location, as noted by Smith.

“As we were setting up the perimeter, two men made a hasty exit from the back of the house,” he remarked. “A man re-entered the house.” The other man leapt over two fences in his bid to escape. Upon the officers’ discovery of him on the opposite side of the fence, it was evident that he had sustained an injury to his leg.

The authorities reported that he was transported to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away.

“To clarify, the injury that occurred was not a result of the actions of the officers present.” “It was at the moment the man was making his escape,” he added.

Although the authorities did not disclose the man’s identity, the medical examiner’s office confirmed that Bailey succumbed to the injury.

The APD has once again confirmed that their officers did not discharge any firearms.

At present, the medical examiner’s office has stated that both the cause and manner of death remain undetermined. The autopsy has yet to be conducted.
