Turkish Beşiktaş Club Board of Director Veysel Ahmet Çağlar Resigns Over Mohamed Salah Post

Turkish football club Beşiktaş stated that Board Member Ahmet Çağlar had resigned. Ahmet Çağlar recently created a social media post with the term “Salah”, in allusion to Salah, whose name has been tied to Beşiktaş.

There are exciting developments at Beşiktaş, the Turkish Super Lig powerhouse, as they attempt to finalise Mohamed Salah’s move.

A stunning departure happened on the black-and-white club’s board of directors. Beşiktaş stated that Board Member Veysel Ahmet Çağlar had resigned.

The official notification to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) read: “Mr Veysel Ahmet Çağlar, a member of our company’s Board of Directors, has resigned from his position as of July 23, 2026 (today).”

Ahmet Çağlar recently posted on Mohamed Salah, simply writing “Salah”. Prominent Turkish businessman and sports executinve Serdal Adalı allegedly had an unfavourable reaction to the tweet.
