Unexplained lights have been observed illuminating the night sky over the sky of Germany. The path directs us to the aerospace firm of American tycoon Elon Musk.
An intriguing phenomenon illuminated the night sky in Hesse, sparking excitement early on Wednesday morning. The occurrence was similarly observed in various regions of Germany.
A representative from the German Armed Forces’ Space Command has reported that a segment of a Falcon 9 rocket re-entered the atmosphere without control. The spokesman stated that there is no evidence to suggest that debris could have fallen on Germany. The Hessian police acknowledged to HR that they had received information indicating the possibility of such a phenomenon occurring.
Elon Musk’s space company, SpaceX, has reported on its website that a Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit at 0.21 a.m. German time. The initial stage of the Falcon 9 rocket, often referred to as the booster, is designed for reuse. The booster has successfully landed once more following its detachment. The second stage of the rocket, conversely, incinerates upon entering the atmosphere.
“I have a strong suspicion that it’s space debris.”
A clarification that aligns with the evaluation provided by HR space specialist Dirk Wagner: “It appears to be quite likely that this is space debris.” This seemingly broke apart upon entering the atmosphere.
It is common to observe multiple objects, each leaving a trail in their wake. “This indicates that an object fragmented into multiple small debris pieces upon entry, each of which subsequently burned up individually,” stated Wagner.
Conversely, when a meteorite enters the Earth’s atmosphere, it typically creates a bright streak of light, akin to a shooting star, which may ultimately explode.
Numerous enquiries directed to the UFO reporting centre
Hansjürgen Köhler from the UFO reporting centre CENAP in Lützelbach (Odenwald) detailed that the celestial phenomenon was observable over Germany for nearly two minutes. Starting at 4:48 a.m., his phone was inundated with calls as numerous individuals detailed the extraordinary event to him.
CENAP, the scientific Central Research Network for Unusual Celestial Phenomena, has documented sightings spanning from Hesse to the North Sea. By mid-morning, Köhler noted that approximately 120 callers had reported their sightings.
“Similar to a scene from a science fiction movie”
A farmer hailing from Lichtenfels in the Waldeck-Frankenberg region shared his sighting during a segment on hr3. “It was, in some way, extraordinary.” While tending to the crops, he witnessed the extraordinary celestial event unfold before his eyes. “It resembled a scene straight from a science fiction movie, truly – extraterrestrials making their descent.”
He remarked that he had never encountered anything of that nature previously. Something fractured, revealing luminous bands of white, red, and orange, before it gradually faded beyond the horizon. It was, in a way, extraordinary.
ESA is currently tracking approximately 40,000 pieces of debris in its surveillance systems
Wagner asserts that encounters with space debris are quite common. He discussed approximately 39,000 pieces of space debris currently under observation by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with American counterparts.
The German Armed Forces Space Command reports that these objects can incinerate anywhere across the globe, with such events frequently occurring over oceans, making them largely unobserved. The rocket stage, illuminated against the night sky, made its descent through the atmosphere, likely over Northern Ireland or Great Britain, and was consequently observable from Germany as well.
Nevertheless, a representative from the Space Command clarified that the likelihood of rocket parts striking the Earth is nearly nonexistent. “It is exceedingly uncommon for an object to withstand re-entry and not incinerate.” One should not anticipate that such a display will take place in the skies above Germany on a regular basis, despite the fact that SpaceX is presently conducting multiple launches of its Falcon 9 rockets. The reason for this is that the components of the rocket typically descend in a different location.
