Galilea Montijo is seen reporting Leticia Calderón’s purported death in a video that has been making the rounds on social media. The actress is okay, as the presenter has already made clear.
When it was discovered that Leticia Calderón had supposedly passed away at the age of 57, concerns were expressed over her life.
It all started when a video of Hoy presenter Galilea Montijo purportedly reporting on the actress’s purported demise started making the rounds on social media.
During the show’s October 27th broadcast, the host herself made it apparent that Calderón had not passed away.
“Be cautious since not all of the films that show up on some social networks will deceive you. You may really see me announcing Leticia Calderón’s passing in a video,” she clarified.
Montijo even disclosed that the false claim caused grief in the loved ones of the soap opera star.
“Leticia Calderón’s family was obviously terrified: ‘But Galilea said it.’ Yes, but it’s obvious, I mean, you watch the video and you can see that there’s something strange there,” she said.
“Lety’s fine. She’s already spoken to production. We send you kisses, Lety. Everything’s fine, but don’t be the ones making up those videos,” she concluded.
