Omid Jahan, a 44-year-old Bandari pop singer from Bushehr, passed away due to a heart attack on September 12. He was the son of Mahmoud Jahan, a late pioneer in Bandari and southern music. Omid Jahan was unmarried.
Omid Jahan was a southern singer born in Bahman 1988 in Abadan who died at the age of 44. He was originally from Bushehr. The singer had been active in the music industry for more than 15 years and was known among the people.
Omid Jahan had four sisters and no brothers. Although he was born in Abadan, he grew up in the city of Bushehr and was very familiar with southern music. Considering that his father was a pioneer of southern music, he entered the music scene very early.
Omid Jahan began singing as a teenager, but became a professional singer at the age of 24.
In 2013, Omid Jahan tried hard to get a license for his songs, but he was unsuccessful until he released his first album, “Puppet,” at the age of 25.

He pursued music for 30 years while working for the oil company and was able to spread the Bandari style of music among those interested in this profession.
Omid Jahan says that I sang the songs “Hale Dan Dan”, “Mihan”, and “Wo Vollok” and they were very well received and people loved them very much, and I was encouraged
to continue my other songs in the same style.
