Mexican authorities issued a search warrant on Tuesday, May 27, for the musical group Grupo Fugitivo, who reportedly disappeared after performing in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

On the morning of Tuesday, May 27, reports emerged regarding the disappearance of Grupo Fugitivo (Fugitive Group). The Attorney General’s Office in Tamaulipas has released wanted notices to locate five individuals who are said to have vanished following a tour in the region of Tamaulipas, Mexico.

What information is available regarding his disappearance?

Search reports indicate that the members of Grupo Fugitivo were last observed on Sunday, May 25, in the municipality of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The Mexican musicians graced the stage at Riberas de Rancho Grande that evening.

This morning, the Tamaulipas State Commission for the Search for Persons disclosed the identities of five missing men: Francisco Xavier Vázquez Osorio, aged 20; Nemesio Antonio Durán Rodríguez, 40; Livan Edyberto Solís de la Rosa, 27; Víctor Manuel Garza Cervantes, 21; and José Francisco Morales Martínez, 23.

In the past few hours, a fraudulent Instagram account purporting to represent the group has been reported as soliciting assistance. Nevertheless, this information was refuted by their families, who stated that since their performance on Sunday, their mobile phones “have remained off”, as reported by El Financiero.

Who exactly is Grupo Fugitivo?

Grupo Fugitivo is part of the regional Mexican music scene. The members have garnered a reputation in Tamaulipas for their performances at local events.

The majority of its members appear to be young individuals aged between 20 and 23, as indicated by their desired profiles. Prior to the announcement of their disappearance, Grupo Fugitivo took to Instagram to express their ambition to perform in the United States.
