I understand why we haven’t yet made our position clear regarding the war between Israel (and apparently now the United States and the entire West) and Iran, except for the condemnations already made of Israel’s aggressive actions. But we must maintain that position and strictly adhere to it, adapting it to circumstances as necessary.

The line of the West as a whole—and Trump, unfortunately, has resumed it as in 2016-2020, if not earlier—is quite clear and can be easily traced back several decades, at least. Where do we have a long-term strategy that can be adjusted, yet remains fairly consistent and unwavering in its essence? I hope we have it; we’re just in no hurry to make it public. I’m very afraid of being wrong.

The globalists, both right and left, have that strategy. But the MAGA Trumpists didn’t have it at the critical moment. They made certain gestures: stopping the wars, disbanding USAID, ending interventionism, expelling the neoconservatives, annexing Canada and Greenland… But everything soon returned to a completely different scenario, in place decades before Trump. More precisely, the MAGA Trumpists had a strategy and even outlines of an ideology (illiberalism, anti-globalism, traditionalism), but they were not clearly and completely developed.

I think we need to pay more attention to strategic narratives. We are a great power and should not be dependent on constantly fluctuating circumstances. If a strategy exists and is generally clear to everyone, then the gigantic, methodical work of building a planetary ecosystem—including the West, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Latin America—oriented toward our ideas of what the world should be begins.

For now, this is being done personally by the president and the secretary of state, with a small number of people privy to the secret plan and capable of understanding it. They’re doing a great job, but the state and society as a whole are in a state of stagnation; sometimes it seems as if they’re on an indefinite vacation, immersed in the endless labyrinths of all-consuming everyday life.
