Renowned Danish Lawyers Die in Plane Crash in Switzerland

On Monday evening, a tragic incident unfolded in La Punt, Switzerland, where three individuals lost their lives in a small plane crash.

The aircraft was returning to Denmark after departing from Samedan Airport. The single-engine EA-400 propeller aircraft departed from Samedan Airport at 5:20 p.m., heading towards Roskilde, Denmark, as reported by the Graubünden Cantonal Police on Tuesday morning. Just two minutes later, the aircraft met with disaster, crashing in a densely populated area on the northern fringes of the village of La Punt Chamues-ch, where it was engulfed in flames entirely. Tragically, every passenger and member of the crew lost their lives.

The Office of the Attorney General is currently probing the cause of the crash, working in tandem with the Swiss Accident Investigation Board (SUST), the Graubünden Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Federal Criminal Police, and the Graubünden Cantonal Police.

The situation has become evident: the individuals affected are prominent legal professionals hailing from Denmark.

On Tuesday morning, the Horten law firm announced the tragic passing of its esteemed partner, Line Markert, who lost her life in the accident. Only her partner, Andreas Christensen, who is likewise a lawyer at the firm, and their son were aboard the plane.
