Fatma Nur Çelik: Student Arrested in Türkiye Over Killing School Teacher

In Çekmeňy, Türkiye, a 17-year-old high school student was detained after fatally stabbing his teacher, Fatma Nur Çelik, and injuring another teacher and student.

Turkish authorities have apprehended a kid who was being held in connection with a knife assault at a high school in Istanbul’s Çekmeňy neighborhood. The incident resulted in two injuries and one teacher’s death.

At Taşdelen Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Çekmeňy, 11th grade student F.S.B. (17) used a knife to assault teachers Fatma Nur Çelik (44) and Z.A. (52) as well as student S.K. (15).

Fatma Nur Çelik, who sustained critical injuries during the attack and passed away in the hospital. The other instructor and student were harmed and treated. F.S.B., who was held by police following the event, was sent to the Anatolian Palace of Justice after completing his processes at the police station.

The suspect, whose statement was obtained at the prosecutor’s office, was brought before the criminal judgeship of peace on duty with a request for his arrest.

The judge made the decision to arrest the defendant on allegations of “intentional murder of an officer on duty” and “intentional injury.”

According to reports, the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
