Lawyer Nusret Yılmaz is being escorted from Trabzon to Istanbul by police.
According to the Sözcü newspaper, another lawyer of CHP presidential candidate and expelled Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and his wife, Dilek İmamoğlu, was held at Silivri Prison.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İmamoğlu’s boyhood friend and lawyer, Nusret Yılmaz, has been jailed in Trabzon.
Yılmaz was detained as part of an investigation into corruption claims against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Lawyer Nusret Yılmaz is being escorted from Trabzon to Istanbul by police.
Mehmet Pehlivan, another of İmamoğlu’s lawyers, was previously detained.
