Mar Contretas will join Facundo, Olivia Collins, Aaron Mercury, and Alexis Ayala at La Casa De Los Famosos México Season 3.

This Wednesday, Mexican actress Mar Contreras was announced as the fifth confirmed resident of the third season of La Casa De Los Famosos México. The announcement was made at the conclusion of the HOY program, which was presented by Ricardo Margalef, the new host of the VIX pre- and post-gala.

Following the video’s release via the official LCDLFM account, various identities emerged, including Ninel Conde, Dalilah Polanco, and even Paola Suárez, but none of them were disclosed.

The identity of Ana Brenda Contreras’ sister had not been revealed; therefore, its discovery came as a complete surprise. She has been gone from the screen for some time, not participating in soap operas or films, but she is experienced with reality programs, having started her career on Operación Triunfo.

Mar Contreras says she’s ready to enter La Casa De Los Famosos México, and, when asked about her red flags, the singer also responded that it would mean losing control. However, she assures that she loves being with people and is going to have fun.

Nominations and rankings are known to be a tense moment within the reality show, but Contreras assures that he will take it objectively, but only if it suits him.

Who is Mar Contreras?

Mar Contreras is a Mexican actress born in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Her career began in 2002 when she participated in the first edition of the reality show “Operación Triunfo,” where she placed seventh.

She later joined the musical group “Sólo 5,” and her musical career culminated with her participation in the Mexican version of the film High School Musical, in which she played the villain.

In 2007, she made her acting debut in Emilio Larrosa’s telenovela, “Muchachitas como tú.” From then on, she appeared in several productions, including “Tormenta en el paraíso” and “Mar de amor.”

She even shared the screen with her sister, Ana Brenda Contreras , in two telenovelas: “Teresa” and “La que no podía amar.” Her previous roles have been as villains, raising expectations about her performance on LCDLFM3. In 2011, she ventured into the world of hosting when she joined the program “Se Vale.”

Mar Contreras has also appeared in several films and plays, but her last appearance on the small screen was in 2023’s “Cabo,” alongside Bárbara de Regil.
