The legendary game show presenter Wink Martindale, who passed away at age 91, hosted a variety of game programmes for 74 years.

According to Fox News Digital, legendary game show host Wink Martindale has passed away. He was ninety-one.

Martindale had a 74-year career in Hollywood, presenting game programmes including “Tic-Tac-Dough”, “High Rollers”, and “Gambit”. He was accompanied by family, including his wife Sandra, at the time of his death. Elvis Presley was also good friends with Martindale.

Fox News Digital reported in 2019 that Martindale “met Elvis Presley on a hot July night in 1954”. Presley made an appearance at Martindale’s “Teenage Dance Party” in 1956.

The fact that Presley was a giver was what shocked him the most.

“Very few people knew that he gave away literally millions and millions of dollars to charitable organisations not only in this country but all over the world,” Martindale said.

“He gave generously. He was your buddy till the day you passed away, if he was. He would always be your buddy, after all, and would help you out with whatever you needed him to. That was the type of person he was.

Just before he married Priscilla in 1967, Martindale’s wife of 49 years, Sandra, had an intermittent relationship with Presley.

Throughout his career, Martindale also served as host of “The Last Word,” “The Great Getaway Game,” “Trivial Pursuit,” “Debt,” and “Instant Recall.”

Martindale is survived by his Chihuahua, Dude; his “honorary” son, Eric; his daughters, Lisa, Lyn, and Laura; as well as his grandkids and great-grandchildren.
