Two Alpha Jets of French Air Force collides during training exercise

This Tuesday afternoon, two Alpha Jet aircraft were involved in a collision in eastern France during what has been described as “rehearsals,” as confirmed by the Minister of the Armed Forces. Both pilots and a single passenger successfully ejected from the aircraft.

This Tuesday, an unfortunate incident transpired involving two aircraft from the French Air Force, specifically the Patrouille de France, in eastern France. “Emergency services are being mobilized, with coordination being overseen by the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of the Armed Forces,” stated Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu on the social media platform X, noting that the incident involved “two Alpha Jets” during “rehearsals.”

According to the French Air and Space Force, the two aircraft “apparently collided” at 3:35 p.m. in the vicinity of Air Base 113 in Saint-Dizier (Haute-Marne), as reported by AFP. According to the same source, the two pilots and one passenger successfully ejected and were “found conscious.”
