Madrid attracts millions of visitors annually, boasting a plethora of cultural and leisure activities, including monuments, museums, parks, and historic streets. This is where the ‘Pasea Madrid’ initiative steps in, with its 2025 edition kicking off this Tuesday, February 18.

This morning at 10:00, individuals aged 65 and older can now utilise the reservation system, which offers a total of 12,660 available spots. Following that, at 12:00, the other age groups will have the opportunity to secure one of the sought-after remaining spots, and all of this will be available at no cost.

The upcoming 2025 edition is set to feature routes that have not been part of previous iterations, culminating in a total of 422 visits across 17 distinct themes. A total of 12,660 fortunate individuals will have the opportunity to delve into the streets and neighbourhoods rich with captivating history, stroll through parks, and witness the city’s most significant monuments and buildings in Madrid.

The initiative is set to roll out in March, April, and May, with guided walks designed to enhance the understanding of Madrid’s rich history. Participants will gain insights into the significance of each monument and the rationale behind its location.

A comprehensive overview of Madrid’s history and a diverse array of the city’s culture, which stands as one of the most significant in Europe. Starting this Tuesday, over 12,000 individuals will have the opportunity to engage with it, entirely free of charge. The Retiro Park, for instance, will serve as a focal point, this time accompanied by insights into its historical significance.
