An unexpected turn disrupted the quiet evening of Davina and Shania Geiss. An attempted break-in was made at the family villa.

In the podcast “Die Geissens”, which has been available on RTL+ since August 27th, Davina discusses a rather unsettling incident: “Our house was nearly burgled.” She adds, “Then, out of nowhere, I hear a strange noise coming from outside, like something being cracked open.” She summoned Shania to the kitchen, where the faint sound of doors being opened in the conservatory reached her ears. She alerted her sister, whispering, “I think I see someone.”
Shania reached for a knife. The 20-year-old was curious to lift the blinds and check if there was any activity outside the house. In a joint podcast, Father Robert expressed his opinion that the reaction of staying inside was not the best approach. He stated that it was impossible for them to enter through the shutters. “That’s why we have shutters everywhere.” In such a situation, the most appropriate course of action would have been to swiftly press the panic button and contact the authorities – which is precisely what the sisters ultimately decided to do.
Upon the arrival of the police, it was discovered that the burglars had managed to escape prior to their arrival. Surveillance camera footage reveals that three individuals wearing masks attempted to break into the villa. Carmen remarks on the footage, expressing her frustration with the individuals’ choice of light-colored clothing.
The Geiss daughters had unfortunately encountered previous break-in attempts while being home alone. The sisters had previously encountered a comparable alarming incident. Shania vividly recalls the recent incident when her legs suddenly ceased to function. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. She continues: “And then I lay there motionless, unable to move.” Luckily, it was discovered that there were no individuals present on the premises during that period.
