Bishop Keila Ferreira, the female head of Madureira’s Assembly of God Ministry, left behind a transformative legacy.
Bishop Keila Ferreira, wife of Bishop Samuel Ferreira and one of the primary female leaders of the Assembly of God Ministry of Madureira, died on Saturday, February 1st, at the age of 52. The Assembly of God in Brás (AdBrás) notified Guiame that her death was the result of a sudden sickness.
Keila Ferreira oversaw various governmental and social programs, creating a legacy of transformation that touched thousands of lives. Born in Campinas (SP) on April 3, 1972, she holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Universidade Paulista and a degree in theology from Instituto Bíblico Ebenezer. She has been intimately connected with the Assembleia de Deus’ mission since she was a child, eventually becoming a reference in women’s ministry.

Keila was married for 34 years to Bishop Samuel Ferreira, head of the Assembly of God in Brás and the National Convention of the Assemblies of God in Brazil (CONAMAD), and she took an active part in the church’s expansion. The marriage has two children: Pastor Manoel Ferreira Neto, head of the Assembly of God in Campinas, and Marinna Ferreira, an evangelist and leader of CORAFESP’s Youth Front. She was the grandmother to Samuel Cássio Ferreira Netto and Manoel Ferreira Júnior.
In addition to her role as a religious leader, Keila Ferreira spearheaded significant social and educational efforts. She oversaw the Institute for Educational Development and Social Assistance (IDEAS), the Women’s Congress of Prayer and Action of the State of São Paulo (CORAFESP), the National Confederation of Evangelical Charitable Sisters (CIBEN), and the National Meeting of Pastors’ Wives (ENEP).
Throughout her career, Keila has been recognized for her dedication to faith and social aid, which has had a significant influence on the lives of women and families across Brazil. Her work has established her as one of the most important references for women’s ministry in the Assemblies of God.
