A young German tattoo artist named Shani Louk had her horror filmed on tape as she was displayed semi-naked on a Hamas truck. Her mother has issued a heartfelt appeal for information regarding her daughter's whereabouts.
According to CNN, the upsetting event happened on October 7 during a "Festival for Peace" gathering in the open air not far from Kibbutz Urim. Louk may be seen in the video half-naked, her legs bent at odd angles as a soldier grabs her hair and other soldiers spit on her. Her relatives recognized her by her unusual dreadlocks and tattoos, even though they couldn't see her face.
Shani's mom, Ricarda Louk, posted a video on YouTube in which she begged the internet to help her find her missing daughter. Louk, a young woman in her early twenties with dual German and Israeli citizenship, was kidnapped by Palestinian Hamas while on a group trip in the south of Israel.
My daughter, German citizen Shani Louk, was abducted by Palestinian Hamas this morning while on vacation with a group of tourists in southern Israel. She added in German, "I was sent a video where I could clearly see my daughter unconscious in a car with Palestinians," and the Insider translated what she said. Tom Weintraub Louk, Louk's cousin, shared the family's pain and outrage with the Washington Post. She was definitely there, and we knew it. He stated she didn't respond, leaving them worried about her condition.
The current status of Shani Louk is unclear, but her loved ones continue to hold out hope that she is still alive. Tom remarked, "We have some kind of hope," while strongly insisting that Hamas was to blame for her and the other victims of this tragedy.
