Jeon So-min, a fan favorite on the hit SBS variety show 'Running Man,' revealed on October 23 that this would be her last season. After taping the episode scheduled for October 20th, her agency announced that she will be quitting the show.

According to her agency, she and the 'Running Man' cast had a lengthy conversation over her leaving.
Jeon So-min had decided to take some time off to refresh herself so that she could continue to excel in her chosen field of acting.
Jeon So-min's time on 'Running Man' was distinguished by an uphill battle against the constant stream of hateful remarks and insults she had to endure from a small but vocal minority of fans ever since she first appeared on the program in April 2017. There were even comments calling for her dismissal on the official 'Running Man' YouTube channel.
After receiving several complaints about profanity, sexism, and impersonation on the website's viewer message board, the production team made the difficult decision to permanently remove the feature in 2020.
Jeon So-min's younger brother, fitness model Jeon Wook-min, recently made headlines when he shared some of the vile comments he'd gotten from internet trolls. The level of hatred toward Jeon So-min that was expressed in these texts, which included threats and obscenities, was shocking.
Jeon So-min responded to these hateful remarks by posting a video of herself wearing a tube and being playfully thrown into a pool by cast member Haha during a 'Running Man' shoot in July of the previous year.
She liked the remarks and agreed that people should watch "Running Man" for fun. In spite of a nasty message from an unknown foreign online user, who urged Jeon So-min to quit 'Running Man,' she stood by her decision to continue appearing on the show.
Instead, she posted the remark at the top of the thread so that it would be seen by everyone. The commentator received backlash from internet users all across the world for their decision to leave the offensive comments intact.
During her time on 'Running Man,' Jeon So-min won over a large audience with her quick wit and contagious positivity, which helped her break into the realm of variety programs.
