Time in Israel-Palestine:

Gaza medics send out ‘SOS to the world’

According to a spokesperson for Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, Israeli authorities have been targeting first responders aiding civilians, prompting the hospital to make an international plea for relief.

"We are in great pain... and nobody in the world seems to care. He urged reporters, "This is an SOS to the whole world... you must help us," when it was revealed that Gaza's lone power plant had run out of fuel.

Israeli response to Hamas in Gaza a ‘massacre’: Erdogan

Israel's siege and bombardment of Gaza in reprisal for Hamas's assault has been called a "massacre" by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the recent escalation violated "very severely" the "morality" of war.

To prevent people from meeting their most basic needs and bomb housing where civilians live, he said, "is not a war, it's a massacre." He was referring to Israel's cutting off of electricity and water to Gaza and destroying infrastructure.

Al-Qassam Brigades announces it is targeting Ben Gurion airport

Gaza ‘on the verge of collapse’

Authorities said that power will be switched off at 2pm local time (11:00 GMT) due to a lack of fuel at the power plant. After the power went off for good an hour later.

Without regular power, hospitals will have to use backup generators, which, we're told, have a lifespan of just two to four days.

This also implies that high-rises will be without amenities like operating plumbing and elevators. Tonight there won't be any light whatsoever.

There will be no electricity or television to keep us updated on the news.

Nine UN staffers killed in Israeli bombing

Nine employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) have been murdered in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since Saturday.

In times of war, it is especially important to keep people safe. Communications director Juliette Touma argued that they should be afforded protection under the rules of war.

Attacks on Palestinian journalists in West Bank on the rise: Union

According to Palestinian Journalist Union vice director Omar Nazzal, attacks against journalists in the West Bank are on the increase.

He claimed that Israeli limitations make it impossible for journalists to roam freely within the West Bank or between the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Journalists have also been impeded in their work; "all of which are carried out by Israeli authorities to stop them from showing the world the crimes that are being perpetrated against Palestinians," he said.

200,000 displaced in Gaza, according to UN

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said on Tuesday that at least 200,000 residents have been displaced and eight healthcare institutions have been destroyed in Gaza since Saturday.

The United Nations' coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Lynn Hastings, has indicated that many abandoned their houses because they feared airstrikes.

‘Overwhelming majority’ of EU states against cutting Palestinian aid: Borrell

Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell of the European Union made the remarks the day after the European Commission reversed its decision to restrict funding to the Palestinians.

Some member nations have spoken out against the suspension, and today foreign ministers met to address the matter.

During a meeting of EU Foreign Affairs ministers, "the overwhelming majority of the member states considered that we have to continue our support to the Palestinian Authority and the payments due should not be delayed," Borrell added.

The Israeli military runs Army Radio.

Turkiye condemns the deployment of a US aircraft carrier

Israeli restrictions on Gaza, including the shutting off of power and water, have been criticized by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Erdogan has also spoken out against a US aircraft carrier deployment to the area, saying it may lead to "massacres."

Why is a US aircraft carrier in Israeli waters?" What the heck is going to happen? Erdogan predicted that Israel will destroy Gaza by bombing its neighbors and launching a campaign of "serious massacres."

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli Air Force said that 15 missiles had been launched from Lebanon. It was reported that 10 missiles landed in open regions and 4 were successfully intercepted.

⨁Oxfam warns of ‘humanitarian catastrophe’ in Gaza

Humanitarian aid organization Oxfam has warned that a complete blockade of Gaza will have catastrophic consequences.

Due to continued airstrikes and bloodshed, the UK charity has ceased all humanitarian and development operations in the besieged coastal enclave, it stated.

"The decision to implement a 'total siege' by the Israeli government, in addition to the ongoing blockade, will further deny Gazan civilians essentials like food, water, and electricity," said Mustafa Tamaizeh, Oxfam's acting country director in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel.

⨁Hezbollah targets Israeli tank with guided missile

Two Lebanese security officials claim that Hezbollah fired a guided missile against an Israeli tank.

The Israeli military said that in reaction to the anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon at a military vehicle near Avivim, one of its helicopters had targeted a Hezbollah observation station.

The Israeli military also said that there were no confirmed casualties.

⨁Gaza has been targeted by more than 50 airstrikes

More than 50 bombings by Israeli troops have devastated the Gaza Strip, obliterating homes, businesses, and public buildings.

The Israeli Air Force is obviously overusing force in its attacks on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Now, after these areas were bombed by the Israeli Air Forces, we swung by for a short look. The fact that they were reduced to ashes aptly depicts the savagery and devastation typical of the region.

Israeli troops are engaged in a gun battle with Hamas in southern Israel

Multiple IDF personnel on the ground informed CNN that Israeli forces exchanged fire with Hamas soldiers near the kibbutz Mefalsim on Tuesday evening, local time.

Near a group of IDF forces defending a perimeter around 1 kilometer (about 0.6 miles) distant from the conflict, a CNN crew heard many exchanges of machine gunfire.

Multiple firefights with Hamas were reported by forces, and CNN heard gunshots coming from a different direction.

A representative from the IDF was unable to provide a quick formal explanation.

Israeli soldiers have closed off all access to the area, meaning that only military vehicles can reach there.

The military issued a warning that Palestinian fighters had infiltrated their territory. Whether or whether there was an infiltration, we cannot say for sure. This demonstrates how dynamic the situation still is.

The Israeli military had enormous panic an hour ago, but things are quiet now. We heard heavy machine gun fire from a distance of around 4 kilometers (2.5 miles).
