A few minutes before the start of the DFB Cup match between VfL Wolfsburg and Turbine Potsdam on Sunday, the wing player, who was absent, wished the opponent success on Instagram.

She failed, and the explanation was so adorable! Huth and her wife Laura welcomed their first child. Both posted pictures of themselves smiling online. The son's name is Emil, according to the name-chain.

Svenja and Laura Huth's criticism of German law contributed to the controversy surrounding the pregnancy.

Only in Spain could the so-called Ropa procedure be used, in which Svenja's eggs were extracted, fertilised externally, and then implanted into Laura.

Emil's mums are both of his biological parents. But in contrast to Spain, Germany does not accept this.

As a result, Svenja Huth must adopt her kid in the next weeks.

She must submit a drug test and an extended certificate of good behaviour in order to achieve this, among other requirements.

The method was referred to be "humiliating" by the national player.

We can't really have additional kids now that we're married. "You would like more equality," Laura remarked. After meeting on the sidelines of an international game in Halle in June 2022, both individuals replied "yes."

Now that Emil is here, everyone is happy.
