Senta Berger will this year be given the "Nike" honorary prize, worth 15,000 euros, for her lifetime's work at the Lünen Film Festival.
According to the announcement made on Friday in Lünen by the organisers, the 82-year-old actress will be recognised for both her exceptional performing accomplishments and her services to the German-language cinema industry.
It was stated that Berger is one of the most successful representatives of German and worldwide acting, having appeared in over a hundred films, plays, and television roles.
At the opening of the movie festival's last event on December 3rd, the prize presentation is planned to take place.
From November 28 to December 3rd, there is the Lünen Film Festival. The whole schedule will be released on November 10.
