AFTER A TEN-YEAR BREAK : ABBA star Agnetha Fältskog with a new solo

It was made exciting by Agnetha Fältskog, who first shared a suspenseful teaser with the phrase, “Where Do We Go From Here?”. She finally let the secret out. Her brand-new solo song with this name will have its international debut on August 31, 2023, on BBC 2.

The bell-clear voice of the blonde ABBA vocalist has utterly ecstatic admirers. And for good reason—it’s been ten years since Agnetha’s previous album was released. It appears that the 73-year-old artist was also influenced by the ABBA buzz, which was brought on by the publication of the group’s collaborative album “Voyage” in 2021.

“A wonderful woman with a great voice,” “I can’t wait to hear Agnetha’s new single,” and other adoring remarks were made by the fans. or, “Hello Agnetha, I wish you much success with your new single,” from Germany. I appreciate it very lot.

Agnetha Fältskog: The shy international star

Millions have been mesmerised by the blond Swede with the sea-blue eyes and the crystal-clear, high voice. Agnetha Fältskog is not someone who enjoys being in the spotlight. But it was there that the singer, together with her husband Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, rose to international fame. ABBA, a band from Stockholm, is one of the most popular bands in music history, having sold almost 400 million recordings.

In one of her seldom interviews, Agnetha stated on a TV programme in 2014:

It was tiring being on these huge tours. We traveled so much and had two children at home. From the luxury suite I went back to washing the dishes and I think that was pretty nice.

Agnetha carried on putting out songs and albums as a solo artist after ABBA’s brief breakup in 1982. The artist mostly disappeared from the public spotlight between 1989 and 2012. The album “A” saw Agnetha Fältskog make a comeback to the music scene in 2013. She performed live on stage for the first time in 25 years on November 12 of the same year.

After the trio had not collaborated on any songs since 1982, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulveaus, and Benny Andersson worked on the ninth ABBA album “Voyage” between 2017 and 2021. A holographic performance called “ABBA Voyage” was produced by the group in addition to recording the album. On May 26, 2023, all of the band members attended the film’s premiere in London. It was the group’s first public appearance in almost 40 years.
