The question resolves itself when more evidence comes into play.

"I am sitting here with my father, and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge, you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father."
The former vice president at the time, Joe Biden, should be noted as denying any knowledge of the claimed message's sending. Abbe Lowell, Hunter's attorney, has asserted that the screenshots of the communication were made up, but she has not challenged their contents.
One of Hunter's business accounts apparently received two payments totaling $5.1 million from a business connected to Henry Zhao around 10 days after the message was written. The money was sent to Hudson West III, a business connected to Hunter, and came from "CEFC Infrastructure Investment". A further $100,000 was given to Hunter Biden-controlled Owasco PC.
Another email that was intercepted by the IRS and given to the FBI had the line "Ten held by H for the big guy," which may have indicated that Joe Biden personally participated in the alleged conspiracy.
Shapley added that political influence was the reason his request for a search warrant to gather tangible evidence at Joe Biden's guest house was turned down. Both Attorney General Garland and David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for Delaware and a Trump holdover, have rejected any political meddling in the case.
Shapley claims that Weiss told him during a meeting on October 7, 2022 that he wasn't the person who made the decision about whether to press charges. Shapley asserts that Weiss said Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., whom Biden chose, would not let the charges to move forward. This conversation was recorded by Shapley in an email to his supervisor, and the supervisor's recollection of the meeting supported Shapley's story.
According to Kim Strassel's Wall Street Journal blog, Shapley learned that Weiss had encountered similar obstacles while pursuing charges in California as a result of another Biden appointment, Martin Estrada. This information was validated by the New York Times, despite being buried deep within a report on "competing accounts."
Weiss had asked special counsel power to file charges, according to Shapley, who also learned that a higher-up in the Justice Department had told him to "follow the process." Shapley asserted throughout his testimony that he and his unit had been targeted as a result of his leaking. He claimed that his investigation team was disbanded, which is against the law under whistleblower protection rules, and that he was not given the planned promotion.
Weiss has strenuously denied that the Department of Justice took action against Shapley in retribution, and he has also maintained that his options for filing charges were constrained. Weiss had claimed he had no restrictions, but he acknowledged in a letter to the head of the House Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan, that he was "geographically" constrained. This revelation backs up Shapley's claim that Weiss withheld charges against Hunter for to political considerations.
"WB2," a second whistleblower, also provided testimony before the Ways and Means Committee. Hunter Biden allegedly participated in a complex strategy to escape paying taxes, according to WB2. WB2 claims that more than $600,000 given to Hunter by the Ukrainian energy business Burisma, where he was a board member, was instead "loaned" back to him by a Chinese company connected to Hunter's acquaintance. WB2 said that more payments of a similar nature were also "loaned" back to Hunter; some of these payments were allegedly a part of a recent plea agreement that Hunter rejected, while others were allegedly exempt from prosecution since the statute of limitations had passed.
Representative Comer revealed that his committee was looking at specific cases when individuals' desire to acquire funding from China appeared to have an impact on policy decisions in an interview with Fox News. In addition, Comer claimed that nine Biden family members had participated in "creating policy for money" and had gotten more than $20 million from overseas sources. Comer uttered an emphatic "Absolutely" in response to the question of whether President Biden was compromised.
These accusations have important ramifications. If the allegations are accurate, it would indicate that the Biden family has a history of corruption and malfeasance. More gasoline is added to the fire by Rob Walker's admission to the FBI that Joe Biden met with representatives of a Chinese energy business several times while serving as vice president. Walker is a close friend of President Biden.
It is important for Attorney General Garland to step down from the Biden investigation and appoint a special counsel to adequately investigate and perhaps prosecute the charges in light of the growing body of evidence and potential conflicts of interest. The volume of the evidence now outweighs that which led to the selection of Robert Mueller to look into the activities of the former president Trump. However, it appears that Garland's political concerns take precedence over the significance of the facts and evidence in this case, which has discouraged efforts to conduct a more unbiased probe.
It is crucial for the truth to prevail in the sake of openness and the credibility of the administration. The whole scope of these accusations and whether they have any substance should be made known to the American public. The doubt surrounding the situation can only be dispelled and the truth only be discovered by an objective and independent investigation.
