Around 9:09 p.m., the fire departments received a call about a fire in the stable building. Alert levels 2 and 3 were established only three minutes after the first. The fire was battled by a total of 16 fire brigades from Salzburg and Upper Austria.

The agricultural building had such a high fire load that it caused the fire to spread to the nearby residential building's roof structure. The FF Vöcklabruck's telescopic mast platform was promptly utilized to battle the fire and safeguard the home using the innovative drill extinguishing equipment, DRILL-X.

The drill extinguishing tool known as DRILL-X combines the drilling and extinguishing processes into a single unit. It penetrates through all typical building shells and delivers finely nebulized extinguishing water directly into the fire chamber without adding oxygen.

The fire department liberated many cows from the barn, and they were then positioned safely behind a fence. It is still unknown how many of the animals have perished because none of them could be spared. While attempting to remove the cows from the barn, the farmer also suffered burns.

Additionally hurt while attempting to catch a cow was a fireman. He was overturned and had his foot trodden on by the animal. Currently, the fire is being fought by six fire brigades. A backhoe is now cleaning up the hay storage. Ramsauer, the operations manager, anticipates that the firefighting will continue well into the evening.
