Roberto Satti, better known as Bobby Solo, was born on March 18, 1945 in Rome. He fell in love with music, particularly rock 'n' roll, owing to Elvis Presley, who quickly became his main source of inspiration. Inspiration can also be found in the appearance and style of singing.
He subsequently begins to learn to play the guitar and attempts to create his first tunes. Bobby released his debut 45 laps in 1963, thanks to Vincenzo Micocci, who offered him a deal with Dischi Ricordi: 'Now that you're already a woman/Valeria '.
We first meet him at the Sanremo Festival in 1964, with Frankie Laine and the song A tear on the face, which became a classic and was co-written with Mogol.
