After the death of Naël, 17, as a result of police shooting during a traffic check, the city was set ablaze overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.
On social media, the video has received a lot of exposure. On Tuesday, June 27, early in the morning, a young driver, 17, was shot and killed by a police officer who was stationed at a traffic stop in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine).
A few hours later, the young man's hometown's Pablo-Picasso and Vieux-Pont inhabitants engaged in violent altercations with the police. Until late at night, protesters used Molotov cocktails to attack the on-site police and gendarmes.
Two police officers can be seen inspecting the passengers of a stopped yellow Mercedes automobile in an online video. One of the authorities leans against the windscreen and points his gun at the driver. The latter abruptly restarts, and the cop fires from the left side of the car at point-blank range. The Mercedes was allegedly headed in their direction, according to the agents. What the video leaves out, given the present situation.
A few tens of meters farther, the automobile crashes to a stop, being stuck in a post. Despite the Samu's intervention, the young driver who had been struck by this police firing passed just a short while later. The tragedy's circumstances are yet unknown.
What actually occurred will need to be determined by the inquiry. Me Yassine Bouzrou, the victim's family's attorney, disclosed that he had submitted two complaints. One for "murder" and the other for "public writing forgery." Additionally, he requests that the file be expatriated by the court.
