Kerri-Anne, the winner of Britain's Got Talent, has died at the age of 32, according to her family.


Kerri-Anne died on Saturday after a battle with cancer. He appeared on the show in 2009.


"We are heartbroken to announce the death of our beloved daughter and sister, Kerrie," her family wrote in a statement.


"After a long battle with cancer, she died peacefully on Saturday morning."


"Kerri was a bright, beautiful, and talented young woman who brightened our lives."


"She will be deeply missed by all who knew her."


Kerri was a singer and composer from Liverpool who had her own band, The Kerrie Ryan Band.


She was a finalist on Britain's Got Talent's third series, but lost to eventual champion Susan Boyle.


Ryan's debut album, "Kerrie Ryan," was released in 2010 following her stint on the show.


She also went on tour with Boyle and other competitors from Britain's Got Talent.


Ryan's family stated that she will have a private funeral.


They have requested that donations be given to the Teenage Cancer Trust in place of flowers.


Ryan's passing elicited significant grief and tributes from her followers and friends.


"I am so sad to hear the news about Kerri," said Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden.


"She was a wonderful young lady who I will never forget."
