The announcement that La Joaqui would be retiring from the stage for an indeterminate length of time sparked numerous questions regarding the motivation for her choice. RKT, a prominent cumbia performer whose real name is Joaquinha Lerena De La Riva, mentioned the reasons on social media.
"I hope everyone is well. I'd like to share some personal news with you today. Because of severe stress, I've resolved to prioritize my health and well-being. "As a result, I will unfortunately be unable to perform any more shows until further notice," she explained in an Instagram story.
She strengthened her choice by deleting all of his postings on this social network and even her profile photo. Parallel to these acts and her statement, the moniker La Joaqui became a trend on Twitter, with her followers guessing about the causes that drove the Mar del Plata musician to leave the stage.
In this context, several recalled that she had revealed in an exclusive interview with LA NACION in mid-2022 that she had suffered from an anxiety problem since she was 13 years old. Previously, she revealed to the public that, until a few years ago, she suffered panic attacks before each event, which began to happen to her as a result of being a victim of gender abuse.
Furthermore, she has stated that he formerly struggled with cocaine addiction. However, according to her own words, those times are passed, and she now exclusively uses medicinal cannabis to address the anxiety illness that she suffers from.
"Today, if I have an anxiety attack, I smoke, put on relaxing music, drink lime tea, and relax, without falling asleep," he stated in the aforementioned story, adding that "artists are exposed to panic and fear," which he defined as "very complicated energy charges."
