Last afternoon, a swimming mishap in the Ausee proved tragic. Divers were originally able to retrieve and revive the guy, who was identified as a 20-year-old Afghan. He died in the evening at Linz's Kepler University Hospital.

On May 21, about 4:10 p.m., a deadly swimming accident happened in the Ausee in the municipality of Luftenberg. According to his testimony, a 20-year-old Afghan from the Linz-Land district jumped numerous times from the 3-meter tower in front of his 20-year-old buddy, also from the Linz-Land area.
When the companion returned from making a phone call, he saw nothing more of the badly swimming victim and immediately started the rescue chain in motion. Divers from the fire department discovered the 20-year-old at the bottom of the lake some time later. He was admitted to Kepler University Hospital after obtaining first assistance from an emergency doctor, where he died in the evening.
