Edda Sabatini was born in Genoa, Italy on February 16, 1935, but when she was a youngster, she went to Rome with her family, where she graduated in piano and singing from the Santa Cecilia National Academy in 1956. Her first work is as a chorister in a Franco Potenza choir group.

In 1960, he joined the Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni, where he had the chance to participate in the recording of many 45s by legendary Italian RCA performers.

Edda is satisfied with her work because for her it represents a love, but her great turning point will come when Ennio Morricone notices her enchanting voice and is convinced that she is wasted to remain in a choir.

Thus, he will grant her some solo parts in several soundtracks, the most recent being those of Sergio Leone's films The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1966) and Once Upon a Time in the West (1968). She then continues to sing in the Alessandroni choir while also deciding to pursue a solo career and collaborates with Claudio Baglioni, who was not yet well-known at the time.

In terms of Edda Sabatini's personal life, we know that she met and married Giacomo dell'Orso, a prominent pianist she met while attending the Academy, in 1958. They had just met six years before, yet they chose each other and had two children: a girl and a boy.

We don't know anything else about his private life because he has always attempted to keep everything private. There are countless soundtracks dedicated to her, and her name will undoubtedly live on in Italian music.
