A woman, SR 47, was stopped after being transported to the Naples police station and questioned about the death of Rosa Gigante, 72, who was attacked and killed at her house in Naples' Pianura area at the end of what is considered to be a quarrel. The murderer also tried to set fire to her body.
The murder sparked outrage, both for its brutality and because the woman is the mother of famous food influencer Donato De Caprio, the Pignasecca butcher who rose to prominence thanks to his sandwiches packaged and presented with all Neapolitan wit and the lucky slogan "with breadcrumbs or without?" With 3 million followers, she is a burgeoning social media sensation.
Even if the clues lead to a neighborhood quarrel, the dynamics of the facts must still be established. The lady questioned resides on the first of two levels of a social housing complex in the same building in via Vicinale Sant'Aniello where Rosa Gigante also lived.
Many bystanders gathered in front of the woman's house, as well as varied testimony - particularly female ones - of people willing to swear by a not always tranquil closeness inside that structure.
Her son Donato was among the first to arrive, shielded by friends and relatives. There were obvious evidence of aggressiveness and burns on the victim's body. The implemented provision is a precautionary measure ordered during preliminary investigations, against which methods of appeal are permitted, and the beneficiary is a person under investigation and so deemed innocent until the final judgment.
