Marie Wegener, 16, won the RTL casting show DSDS in 2018. She recently performed in the musical "Beauty and the Beast" in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In the next year, she will most likely be the central figure in a civil trial before the district court in her hometown of Duisburg. Her former boss is suing her. Patricia Cronemeyer, Wegener's lawyer, verified this to German media 24RHEIN.
Contractual problems are addressed through civil litigation. After winning DSDS, Marie Wegener from Duisburg was signed by a music promotion from Würzburg. Wegener had unfairly unilaterally withdrew from the deal, and he is now protesting and demanding money. He now wants the money he put in her career returned to him.
