Sony's next high-end smartphone, the Xperia 1 V, is believed to include a 12-megapixel sensor array, according to a Chinese source. Sony chose a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor. This high-end smartphone is scheduled to be released in 2023. These are the initial information on its picture module.
*Sony plans to improve the Xperia 1 V's camera module by including bigger sensors.
*The Xperia 1 V would include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU and 16 GB of RAM.
*The smartphone might be released as soon as May 2023.
*The Sony Xperia 1 V pricing is yet unclear.
Weibo was leaked and picked up by the Japanese website SumahoDigest. The Sony Xperia 1 V, according to this leak, will arrive with the same triple 12 + 12 + 12 MP picture module as its predecessor, the Sony Xperia 1 IV (test). While the resolution of each lens remains unchanged, the sensors on the Xperia 1 V will be substantially bigger, with the exception of the ultra-wide-angle lens.
Sony Xperia 1 V photo module sensor size
The primary lens and telephoto lens sensors for the 5th generation flagship Xperia 1 smartphone are believed to be 1/1.4 inch and 1/2.9 inch, respectively. These sensors are supposed to be 17% bigger than the Sony Xperia 1 IV's. Whoever claims bigger sensor means more light collected and so higher image quality, especially in low light.
The selfie camera on the Xperia 1 V has the same number of megapixels, namely 12 MP. Nevertheless, the sensor would be bigger (1/2.4 inch), representing a significant improvement over the existing type (1/2.9 inch).
The Xperia 1 V will likewise include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor and 16 GB of RAM. It will also have the model number XQ-DQ72 and might be available as early as May of next year. The cost is yet unclear. But, we would not be shocked if it is similar to the Xperia 1 IV, which costs between 1200 and 1300 euros.
