On Wednesday morning, Baroness Myriam Ullens, a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist in Wallonia, was shot dead by her stepson. This is according to La Dernière Heure. The public prosecutor of Walloon Brabant confirms that a lady was killed, but refuses to reveal her identify.

Nicolas Ullens (58) shot his 70-year-old stepmother in front of his father and second wife's home in Ohain, a neighborhood of Lasne in Walloon Brabant, about 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning for an unclear cause. As emergency personnel got on the site, they could only confirm the fatality.


A prosecutor's office, a forensic lab, a law doctor, and a ballistics specialist were dispatched to the site. Ullens was detained and will be questioned by police on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the guy is scheduled to appear before the investigating judge, who will determine whether to keep him detained.


Myriam Ullens was married to Baron Guy Ullens, a Belgian industrialist, arts patron, philanthropist, and modern art collector. According to professional sources, his fortune is worth more than 2 billion euros. In Wallonia, the couple is well renowned for their huge art collection and charity endeavors.
