Daniel Brühl is a member of the award-winning team behind the German Netflix military drama "Nothing New in the West," which was nominated for nine Oscars and won four. On Sunday, the 44-year-old actor won the prize in the category "Best Foreign Language Film" alongside director Edward Berger and several team members on the stage of the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.


Brühl was accompanied by his wife, psychologist Felicitas Rombold, on the journey to the site, on the champagne-colored carpet, and behind the scenes. Brühl walked the red carpet wearing an immaculate suit with a white jacket, matching shirt and bow tie, and black pants. Rombold wore a black gown with a tulle skirt.


With the sad comedy "Goodbye, Lenin!" in 2003, Daniel Brühl has had international success. The comic was chosen "Best Foreign Language Cinema" in France, Spain, Denmark, and the United Kingdom, among other countries.


In addition, the biopic "Rush - Everything for Victory" received several international nominations. And Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" was nominated for eight Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Sound Editing, and Best Supporting Actor, which went to Christoph Waltz for the part of Hans Landa. Brühl and Rombold have been married since 2016 and have been in a relationship since 2010. The couple's first son was born in 2016, and their second in 2020.
