The German Katharina Althaus dropped out of the first three official training series in Planica, but she proved to be the best during the trial series on Bloudkova Velikanka (K-125 / HS-138). Slovenian Nika Krinar and Japanese Yuki Ito completed the top three before the qualifying round. Nicole Konderla, the highest-ranked Polish lady, finished 32nd in her maiden jump today.
Katharina Althaus delivered the best jump in the pre-qualification test series, reaching 126 meters with a minor gust in the rear (0.06 m/s). The German scored 62.7 points and easily outscored Nika Krinar, who had been outstanding in previous trainings, by 0.3 points. Slovenian skier with wind (0.12 m/s) reached 127 meters. Yuki Ito from Japan completed the top three of the group (126.5 m), while the top six was completed by Canadian Alexandria Loutitt (126.5 m), Slovenian Ema Klinec (123.0 m), and a German Anna Rupprecht. Eva Pinkelnig, the Austrian World Cup leader, rounded out the top 10. (119.0 m).
Nicole Konderla, the highest-ranked Polish participant, finished 32nd after jumping 103 meters. Kinga Rajda received the same amount, putting her in 33rd place. Paulina Cielar (92.5 m) finished 44th, while Anna Twardosz (89.5 m) finished 45th.
