The time has finally arrived. On February 23, the Netflix series "Outer Banks" will enter its third season. The successful series' sequel was revealed in December 2021, and fans were ecstatic for the new episodes.
But how pleased were the principal players that the shoot would continue? Because they play a love team and are actually ex-partners.
The Netflix adventure follows youngster John B and his companions as they seek for a treasure that his father was already looking for. In futile, since he vanished without a trace. At least, that's what they believed...
During his trip to the treasure, John B, portrayed by Chase Stokes (30), faced not only huge hardships, but also his great love Sarah, played by Madelyn Cline (25). Both fell in love at the "Outer Banks" and marry. Join me on a treasure quest.
It's especially great that the relationship began outside of the series. On the set, it also sparked behind the camera. Chase and Madelyn's love, however, did not endure long, as the Netflix ideal couple split up after only a year of dating. BEFORE the third season begins filming.
You would imagine that filming the third season was difficult for the two major actors. Because, let's be honest, who wants to make out with their ex-partner in front of the camera when they've just broken up...
Yet, the two handled the situation well. "We've always emphasized that labor is sacrosanct," Madelyn told Cosmopolitan. Yet, she confesses that playing lovers with your ex isn't always simple.
When asked if she regrets making their relationship public, Madelyn gives a straightforward response: "I'm a pretty private person. There's a part of me that exists just for me and no one else. In retrospect, though, making my relationship public made it everyone else's business. And then I realized the negative effects of that."
