One person has died so far in a fire in a multi-storied building at Gulshan-2 in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.

One person's body was carried to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in an ambulance at 10 p.m. on Sunday night. His identification could not be established right away.
The fire department began extinguishing the fire after it broke out in the 12-story structure about 7 p.m. on Sunday. Meanwhile, residents are still being rescued from the structure. Several people were trapped when the fire spread to other stories of the structure.
Sajid Hossain, a Bangladeshi newspaper Prothom Alo photojournalist, reported from the scene at 10:00 p.m. that the fire is on the 11th and 12th levels of the structure. When the fire burns inside, several individuals are spotted on the balcony. They are trying to attract the attention of rescue workers by lighting torches.
Inspector Bachchu Mia of the Medical Police Outpost verified that the corpse of the individual murdered in the fire incident was brought to Dhaka Hospital. He stated that the body of a man in his 30s had been brought. The body was sent to the medical morgue for a post-mortem examination.
Following the fire, the fire department's control center reported that there was a fire on the seventh floor of the 12-story structure. Six fire departments are attempting to extinguish the blaze. Seven additional units afterwards joined it.
According to Ershadul Hossain, officer of the force's control room, 13 units of the fire service were attempting to extinguish the fire about 10 p.m.
But, according to eyewitnesses, numerous people leaped from the structure and plunged down following the fire. They have suffered major injuries. According to Mohan, at least three persons have been transported to the hospital.
