Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock, Elvis Presley, died last night at the age of 54 from cardiac arrest.
Priscilla Presley's daughter was discovered unconscious by her aide at her house in Calabasas, Los Angeles, yesterday morning. She was taken to the hospital, where physicians were able to implant a pacemaker and restore her pulse.
Priscilla Presley was the one who posted on Facebook about her daughter's condition: "My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was brought to the hospital. She is currently receiving the best possible treatment. Please keep her and our family in your thoughts and prayers. We feel everyone's prayers and ask for privacy during this time."
Then, speaking privately to the North American media, she stated that she was in serious condition following a "total cardiac arrest." She also stated that she was in an induced coma and was being treated in an intensive care unit with a temporary pacemaker. Priscilla Presley announced the tragic news earlier this morning: "It is with a heavy heart that I must convey the devastating news that my lovely daughter Lisa Marie has left us."
