Cate Blanchett's spouse forewarned her that her career will be cut short after five years.
The 'Tar' actress, who has four children with boyfriend Andrew Upton, revealed that the director told her to 'enjoy' her time in the limelight when she first discovered popularity because it was so tough for women to stay in the profession.
"Well, the landscape has obviously changed," she said of how things have improved for women. 'Enjoy, baby, you're five, if you're lucky,' my husband said to me on the eve of my introduction into the film business a long time ago. It was also true for women.
I think there are a lot of people who have changed this landscape, not just women, but pioneering actors who have pushed boundaries.
